Step-by-step Instructions
Returning a machine
- From the welcome screen, go to the Rental Module.
- Click Contracts from the navigation bar.
- Click Edit on the rental contract you'd like to return equipment from.
- On the Equipment tab, click the Action button next to the machine you're returning.
- Click Return.
- Enter the Return Date/Time and Meter Return value.
- Confirm the entries, and click Return Asset.
- If applicable, The Active Charges table totals will update machine rental rates and child charge codes based on the return date and time, as well as excess usage fees.
- This screen will allow you to add additional contract charges. If necessary, select the charge and corresponding values, and click the Add button.
- Finalize the return by clicking Complete Return.
The machine is now returned. If there are multiple machines on a contract, cycle billing will continue until all machines have been returned and the contract has closed, as well as if cycling billing is enabled.
Close the Rental Contract
- From the welcome screen, go to the Rental Module.
- Click Contracts from the navigation bar.
- Click Edit on the rental contract you'd like to close.
- Click Close Rental Contract.
- Confirm that you'd like to cancel the rental contract by clicking OK.
Contract charges can no longer be added or updated once the contract is closed. Verify that all charges and charge totals are correct.
The rental contract is now closed. At this time, a final rental return invoice will be generated and can be viewed from the Invoices tab or the Finance Module with the corresponding reference document number. If required, invoice values, as well as adding or removing charges can only be done from the finance module in a pending state.
